My Walk Around Dogs

So I headed out to the glass blowing factory after eating breakfast with Julie this morning. The place was opened but the fire was not hot enough for me to see any glass being blown. It is okay, I have seen it before, although I do not have any good pictures. Maybe I will go back another day to get some good photos. The place was located on a pretty busy road so I headed to a side street to walk around a bit more. The side street lead me to the church I passed yesterday, before it began to rain!

I was happy I knew where I was and how to get home, but I was nervous since there was a dog that barked at me and followed me for a bit from this location. Of course he came out again- why do you have a fence if you do not close the gate? I froze up but kept walking and luckily he did not attack me. I get very nervous around dogs because you do not know if they will bite you or not, especially when they come at you barking with their big old teeth showing. I made it far enough away that the dog went away and then I saw a dog on the other side of the canal. It looked like a Golden Retriever and I kept walking as he could not jump the canal. I got to the house that was built on the canal and BOOM there was the Golden Retriever barking up a storm at me. Luckily this guy was fenced in with a closed gate.

I walked to the end of the road, very nervous I would come in contact with some more dogs (thankfully I did not) and then stopped when I got to a street sign that was in the shape of a triangle with a giant black “x” on it. I have no idea what it means but I figured, x means stop, wrong, ect. so I did not continue. I sat on the wall of the canal for a bit enjoying the quiet, warm, and babbling brook sounds. Then around 11 I turned around and headed back to the house.

I found a side street to avoid walking past the church’s crazy dog again and heard another dog in the distance. Luckily this guy was getting yelled at far away and he never came up to me although I was investigating the stability and height of the fence as I walked by it. I got to the main road and headed home. There were some interesting things that I saw. A pile of apples rotting along the street.

And some horseshoe foot prints in some newly paved tar.

I got home, set the table, and waited….oh yea – the key worked when I left and arrived at the house, YAY!!
