I woke up at around 3:30 in the morning not feeling too well. After having a horrible coughing fit, I was wide awake. I was happy about the time though as I was able to talk to a few (okay one very special person) online. Afterwards I laid in bed until around 6, then I fell asleep until 7.
I got out of bed to eat breakfast with Julie, who told me that Patrice heard me in the night and thought that I had gotten sick (the coughing was that bad). He told her that I needed to see a doctor, but I explained I was fine and just had something in my throat. Julie had to drop her car off at the garage but we left it that I would meet up with her and a few of her coworkers for lunch.
I took my time getting ready and then headed to the center of town. I tried to get some items from different places but the lines were too long or they did not have what I needed. I did manage to make it to the post office though and buy a stamp for my last postcard.
I met up with Julie and her coworkers, two of whom I had met and one new one. We headed to a baby store to look for items for another coworker who just had a baby. The store was very very small and there were way too many people inside of it. I stayed outside until they told me to head in. They were trying to be nice and include me, but there just was not any room in there! They picked out what they wanted to get and we left for lunch.
We headed to a little Italian restaurant nearby and I got the spinach ravioli, yummy! I was super happy to have the delicious food in my tummy! I walked the girls to their car and then headed back into town. I got lost in the streets, but only for a short while as I am already very familiar with the streets. I took some pictures, including some of the craziest mannequins I have seen. Then I headed home.
I took a 30 minute nap and then did some work. I booked a hostel for my layover in London, I emailed the farmer a second time about when we should meet at the train station, I researched hostels in Tel Aviv for my first night and I researched nearby towns that I could be left in the mornings or afternoons to wander nearby St. Remy. I think it has been quite eventful thus far. Tonight we are headed to Julie's house, she will be making crepes. She is from Normandy, which I have heard through the grapevine, they make the best crepes there...and she knows the recipe - can't wait!
