The Church

After lunch I was going to walk to the gardens I found on the map but I was full and it was hot. I was too full to have gelto to cool me down and so I decided to just go back to Florence.

After walking for a bit, I decided that was dumb and continued on to the gardens. I basically made a HUGE 's' a couple of times over in my trip to Pisa...Along the way to the garden I saw a church right outside of Museo San Mateo. I decided to try it and was so glad that I did. It was what I was expecting in the Baptistry, truly remarkable.

You see the picture above? Those pillars? They are on the CEILING! Does not look like a painting, let alone one on the ceiling does it? Anyway, I was so happy that I ran into this place and headed onto the gardens across from Pointe della Fortezza. They were very nice and big and I got a few really nice shots. After that I decided to head back.

I caught the train with 5 minutes to spare and had a sleepy trip back to Florence.
