Kaufbeuren im Allgau

So we explored the town of Kaufbeuren today even though that is where the boys have been going for class each day. They have been busy and not had a chance to get around so that is where we headed. It wound up being a smaller town than we thought (after getting lost the other day) and finished pretty early. We did not go into the church but we walked through many of the streets, through stores and enjoyed some gelato.

My throat is killing me again today and I just have no idea what it is. I thought that it was allergies from the feathered pillow and when I spent the next day outside it was all gone. But that does not explain why I was achy previously or why I cannot swallow again today. If it is allergies, I am glad I am not sneezing and getting snot everywhere but it throws me off that I do not have these symptoms. I am hoping that the people I stay with in France will be able to tell me I am fine from a mother’s point of view. I do have insurance though if needed.

We headed to the Italian place in Kaufbeuren as we were told it was worthwhile, even though TripAdvisor said it was number 28 out of 32 places to eat. We found it, but it was closed. We headed back to the Croatian place we ate at the other day. Justin got a mushroom pizza and I got grilled shrimp. The salad (potato salad especially) was delicious. Justin liked his French onion soup and thought his pizza crust should have been a bit thicker. I had no complaints with the shrimp. We asked for the check and got a free round of banana liquor. I took it – it was 100 times better than the liquorish flavored one from last night.
