Discovering Bad Worisofen

I woke up this morning and could not swallow. It has been a slow progression since I have been at this hotel, but I think it is allergies. There is carpeting almost everywhere plus there are down pillows. I could breathe though, just had issues swallowing. I went to breakfast with the guys and enjoyed some hot tea, which seemed to help my throat a lot.

After breakfast I headed for a quick sauna and pool with Justin and then Justin headed to class. I took my time getting ready, grabbed a map and headed out into Bad Worishofen. At this point, I felt like crap. I still had some problems swallowing but I felt achy all over. It was a beautiful fall like day and I decided to take advantage. I walked all around the town; up until this point I had just been walking through the main center. I checked out the cemetery which was the neatest by far. Everything looked proper, nicely groomed, had a spot. Perhaps because it is one of the newest cemeteries that I have been to, but none the less it was nice.

I then headed to the train station. It was not too far but it was somewhere new, plus gave me an idea of where I would have to go in a few days. I found it without a problem but there was no ticket booth, just a ticket machine. I managed to figure out how to get my ticket to Munich, which would be 15,50 but I could not figure out how to change the date of departure to a different day. Perhaps because I was not reserving a seat, I did not need to change the date that I bought the ticket, but I was not sure.

I picked up some bananas from a side store and a pastry for my birthday candle and then headed off to find a Deutchbank to get some more euros for Justin and some more euros for myself. I knew the bank was right near the naked woman statue but could not find it. I went to the information booth and they said that it was straight then on the corner. I went where she pointed and could not find it. I knew now what she meant and decided to get some food before I looped around.

I found a Chinese buffet, but decided it was not good to try Chinese, in a foreign country, when not feeling 100%. I found a place that we had not been to yet. There was an acceptable menu outside and a special that looked as good as anything else (had no idea what it was, but it came with salad). I sat down and looked at the Restaurant menu, which only had drinks. I ordered a Schwepps ginger ale and got a Schwepps American Ginger Ale.

Then the waitress came back and asked what I would like. I tried to repeat the special but, of course I failed. I pointed to the window, she pointed to the window, and then we both got up to walk to the window. I pointed to the specials sign and she nodded.

When it came out it looked like mac and cheese baked in a pie crust. It was acceptable, although not as good as mac and cheese. It had meat pieces in it and was just different than anything I had tried previously. I felt a lot better after lunch, perhaps the ginger ale, or the food, or the rest, but I was ready to go.

I walked around in a couple of the stores and shops in town. It is pretty big for a resort town but quaint at the same time. Everything was very expensive and so I just looked around. I headed back to the hotel, ready for a nap as I was getting sore again. When I arrived I was in the midst of checking my email with Justin walked in, it was perfect timing.
