After hopping some trains, doing some (cross that out) lots of walking, I found my bank and got some money - which meant I could finally have my breakfast...which was now lunch. I spent two and a half hours there, it was raining, I am not that good at switching on the French mode. Then I was off to the Chocolate Tour.
If you ever go to France, TAKE THE CHOCOLATE TOUR. Perhaps it was not the best thing, but my guide was amazing. It was only me and she was wonderful. We walked all around and went to the following Chocolatiers: Laduree, Eric Kayser (chocolatier of the year), La Maison, and Cacao et Chocolate. We also went to two bakeries Polane and I forget the other. I got to try two chocolates at each chocolatier including honey cayenne and lavender. We tried some sweet breads (not the insides of animals) and special bread from a place where Pablo Picasso went. He got a lamp made of bread to see if mice were in his house and then the bakery had one made for themselves. (I may have mixed that story up a bit).
I had a lovely time talking with Jennifer though and she even told me to call her if I go to Bordeaux as she has friends there that I can meet up with. She also told me of a cemetery to go to, I just need to remember where it is. I also met a man while waiting for the tour who needed to "smoke something." It smelled like clove and went out every minute or two. He gave me a tip to eat at La Butte aux Cailles tomorrow, apparently delicious food at cheap prices for Paris. I will give you updates tomorrow.
