The Last Supper

I decided that since it was my last day in Paris (at least for now) I should spare no expense. I usually do not think like that, but I am in Paris and also I was expecting to spend a lot of money here. Everyone tells me how expensive it is; not counting the prepaid tour, hotel, hostel or really expensive first night of dinner at the hotel, I spent less than $200. Not too bad for 4 days.

I found a cute little cafe and had a seat. The table next tome consisted of three older women who looked like they were finishing up. I decided to stay after OD1 (older woman 1) lit up as there was ice cream already on the table. As soon as her cigarette was done, OL2 lit up. I got my escargot and faced the other way. Now, I thought I needed to have escargot, I am in Paris...I did not think about how the heck you eat it until they arrived with a clamp and a curved fork that looked like the tongue of a snake.

As I pulled it together to get the first booger, OL3 lit up with OL1. Two beers were set on their table and one glass of white wine. My escargot was alright. The first was cold...like frozen cold, the second tasted dirty and the remaining 4 were acceptable. OL3 had two friends walk by and kiss her on the cheek and talk...lighting up of course.

My dinner came out, the specialty house salad. Corn, artichoke hearts, lettuce, and some kind of meat. It was a good meal with too much smoke. Micheal Jackson kept me company for a bit with "They Don't Really Care About Us."

I am surprised about how much I love Paris. People are kind, it is beautiful and I just truly enjoyed my time here.
