Making My Way Around Marseille

I will ask Jeremy if he wants to go to the beach again tomorrow as I was not ready to go when he left. I headed off in search for a bank and the phone store. I never found the phone store, the bank was not open and had no ATMS and then I wandered to unknown territory. There was a beautiful castle looking building and people were shooting a movie. I took some pictures outside and inside of the church and then headed to the view...it was BEAUTIFUL. The only thing that really stood out though was that I was ridiculously far from where I should be. I asked the police where I was and they showed me on the map. I slowly found my way back to the hostel (I need to get used to the streets).

So Marseille is like no place I have been to in France. There is a mix of so many cultures. The cuisine has lots of Italian (close to Italy border) and lots of Indian and middle-eastern. There is a large mix of the people as well, although I cannot tell how much of the population belongs here as it is the end of the holiday and everyone heads here this time of year.

I tried a pistachio sweet thing (tasted like pure pistachio) and some pizza (I am noting all of the food I am eating to make you people stop worrying!). I was not so impressed with either, but that is okay, it is beautiful.
