For dinner Fanny was making broccoli and cauliflower in a cream sauce (butter, flour, and cheese). She topped it with cheese and some crushed walnuts. I sliced a cucumber and brought out the tomatoes and we were ready for dinner. The bread was a very good way to get all of the sauce and to complete the dish. I was full after that and passed on melon.
We watched as the chickens made their way to bed. Checking the coop before entering and then jumping to the top floor. I had a long day and was off to bed as well.
I decided to take an air mattress in the second room instead of the couch. I call it a room as it is not big enough to be a bedroom and slightly larger than a closet. It would be a good size for a walk in closet, though they have cabinets in it with extra food supplies.
The shower was hot and could be hung from up high so I could actually use both hands to get the shampoo out of my hair. I do find it weird not having a toilet in with the sink, of having the sink right outside. They have their sink in with their shower/bathtub and it is 5 feet away. Okay 5 feet, not that bad, but it is still strange to me.
I have no electricity in the closet, I mean the room I am staying but Fanny’s father will be fixing that tomorrow. I could see since the street lights were on and came in through the window. Christian asked if I knew how to close the shutters and I said yes, and he was off. I needed to now figure out how to close the shutters. After pulling and tugging a bit, I realized they were secured on the bottom and was able to easily close them. I left the windows open to get the air but the shutters did a great job of keeping out the light.
