I'm Sorry Chicken, I Dropped Your Egg

Ever had one of those, what am I doing days? I think I may have been getting sick but I was a mess. What the hell am I doing? How will I be able to travel for 8 months? What will I do? I mean it is like wasting time, only not really. I know I will never have an opportunity to do this again, but I am too practical sometimes and that comes through.

Anyway, I dropped an egg today, Christian told me to apologize to the chickens. When I turned on the shower, the shower head was facing the wall and the water leaked to the floor. I just felt like everything was going wrong. I felt achy and not right yesterday and left a blog that I am sure did not make much sense.

After almost a full day of rest, I feel much better and am ready to go. I have a slight headache due to my allergies but my body is back to normal. I will probably be painting the shutters today, as they were worried that they worked me too hard or that I was getting sick. I am fine not doing organic farming for a day.

Fanny got home early yesterday and we went for a walk. We walked by the cemetery and around the village. It is very tiny but we had to turn around as Christian would be home. It was nice to talk to her. I spoke in French and she in English. I always reverted back to English as I do not have enough vocabulary for conversational French, just the basics.

When we got back from the walk we cut string beans and I looked for a recipe to make with lemons. I found a lemon cake and will make it tomorrow. Fanny showed me the French version of Allrecipes.com or any website that lets you look up recipes and reviews.

I have been thinking a bit about what I will be doing when I get back from Italy and Germany. I am supposed to be placed with a family to tutor for a month, but I still have not heard anything. I know that I have plenty of time, but what happens if nobody gets back to me? I guess I would explore some new areas, and I am okay with that. If I do get placed though, I definitely want to take the immersion classes. I have also not heard back from the kibbutz. I emailed both yesterday but still have not heard back from them. Some good news, I read that the French are not real strict about overstaying the 3 month visa. I hope that is right, but will still look into other options.
